The admin sent me a message saying the page I had requested for deletion had been « removed ». Actually, I could still see it in my FireFox navigation window.

It is just a bug due to FireFox page caching system.

Just load the page in another web browser : you will get the normal « 404 Page not found » message.

Leave FireFox, wait for a few minutes or hours, then load again the html page, you will see the correct « 404 Page not found » message. Then you are sure the page has been removed by the geocities.ws admin, as duly requested.
